This aptly named mare was bred by the late Frank Scripter. She is a Solar Flair Éclat daughter who has produced many exceptional foals over the years.  We know as we have 3 here at Ghostwind Appaloosas; Lady Galahad’s Ebony, Apache Solar Dancer, and GR Magnificent Storm. Her pedigree, her conformation and her demeanor make her “royalty” in our program. We knew we would be impressed by her ability to produce exceptional colts and we weren’t disappointed. We are very proud and humbled to know that this grand dam will continue her legacy here at Ghostwind Appaloosas.

Bred by the late Frank Scripter this black n/c mare is also a Solar Flair Éclat daughter and we are hoping that she will be starting her own dynasty here at Ghostwind Appaloosas. She has a superbly smooth gait and gorgeous movement. Those that have ridden this mare all rave about how smooth their ride has been and we expect no different from her future foals. Rocky came to us via Michigan where she had been a lesson horse in a dressage facility. She will be starting her broodmare duties now that her riding duties have been reduced.

This tall substantial mare also comes from the Solar Flair Éclat line. Bred by Irene Smith of Hi Mountain Hollow and bought by Ghostwind Appaloosas as a yearling we are so very pleased that we have this beautiful mare in our program. Her size and her smooth floating movement have proved to be a very good nick with our stallion HMH Phantom Spirit. We have retained one daughter for our program and last years big few spot filly has been sold to Europe.

This Sun Powder Spirit daughter has the family looks and size, she seems to be well on her way to being her grand daddy’s offspring. We anticipate Powderface to finish somewhere around 16.2h and she is definitely built for the sport horse world. We were very excited to see what the upcoming foal would look like. We have been very lucky to lease this wonderful mare from CTR Appaloosas. She has that unique deep Toby pedigree that we had wanted to add to our program. We know she will produce very well with our stallions.She is a well trained mare that garners compliments everywhere she goes. Her temperament makes her the darling of the barns and she is a dream to ride.

This big red leopard mare is a powerful mover with a substantial hip. In 2009 she had a big, tall red leopard stud colt. We decided that we were keeping this colt as one of our own performance horses so he is now with the geldings and is enjoying his training.Her 2011 colt Beau is a carbon copy of his full brother Fire except for his pattern. He has a large blanket and he has a striking presence.

Bred by Dick Vanderby of Montana,  appaloosa breeder and past APHC Board member. We are pleased to have‘Squeak’ as one of our mares, she has a wonderful personality and equally wonderful conformation. This fancy leopard appaloosa mare comes from such great appaloosas as Chief Chelsea, Polar Star, Red Eagle and Apache.  She has 69 registered F’s in her background.

This is another foundation appaloosa mare from Dick Vanderby’s program.  Almost 16hh, this tri-colored leopard has smooth, lofty movement, great withers, long legs and a congenial disposition.Her first foal, born in the spring of 2010, is a big snowcap colt. He’s already showing the movement and ability of his dam and sire. Her pedigree and confirmation speaks to sport horse disciplines.
